Zhenya joined the ISC in 2019, initially supporting digital communications, before stepping into her current role as Head of Communications. In this capacity, she manages the communications team and oversees the production and strategic dissemination of the organization’s outputs, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.
She also provides strategic counsel to ISC leadership, working continuously to strengthen the organization’s global presence and voice.
Beyond her core communications portfolio, Zhenya is a passionate advocate for equitable access to digital technologies. She recently led a a broad initiative dedicated to helping science organizations upskill and build digital maturity.
Zhenya holds and undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, complemented by a postgraduate degree in Media and International Development. Her global perspective is shaped by years of living, studying and working across Europe, Asia and North America.
